INSPIRED BY CHRISTINE ALAOUI’S LOVE OF MARRAKECH AND HER SOCIAL SPIRIT, CHRISTINA is situated on the first floor above Bill’s bar, where freedom seekers like you will exchange stories.
Introduction
The room is of a large square proportion and features a delightful curved juliette balcony with views over the central courtyard. It boasts geometric sky-blue terracotta floor tiles in a repeating cube motif with hand-cut zellige border inlay. A generous and welcoming double bed is set between side tables and its bed-head rests against an intricate arabesque feature wall.
The floor continues past a triple corner sofa set and coffee table into the walk-in wet room and offers twin vanity basins, with rain-shower and WC set against dove grey zellige tiling to accent taupe coloured tadelakt walls.

CHRISTINE ALAOUI is a photographer of people and places, known for her empathetic and curious eye. Frequently exhibiting her studies of Moroccan life from the 70s, she is married to a Moroccan businessman, AZIZ ALAOUI and they purchased the seven acre Villa Bled Roknine in Marrakech’s Palmeira district where they would host some of Marrakech’s most renowned soirees.

Museum in the Medina
Live amongst an important collection of Contemporary and Digital Art within the Museum in The Medina at Izza. MITM is a founding member of our House of Friends. The museum shares more than 300 carefully curated artworks within our guest rooms and public spaces in arguably one of the world’s most significant physical exhibitions of printed NFT’s (Non-Fungible Token artworks).
Each artwork is accompanied by an object label with relevant information and a QR code allowing guests to discover more about the art and artist.
