Rachid Bakkar

Born in 1977, lives and works in Marrakech.

Rachid Bakkar's work is mainly focused on the aggregation of colors, illustrating the ability to tame them: each color retains its independence from other colors by its internal coherence. The future of art would be in its very origin, namely the earth, the cave, and the original trace of homo-sapiens, these footprints.The writing, thus spread out, knows how to retain the imprints of a foot or a tree leaf, of a budding movement, of a letter or simple greenery. It's life, with its ups and downs. It should be real life.
