<p>Hicham Benohoud, born in Marrakech in 1968, transitioned from a high school visual arts teacher to a prolific visual artist after completing his studies at the Ecole Sup&eacute;rieure des Arts D&eacute;coratifs in Strasbourg. His innovative artistic approach, heavily influenced by his teaching years, often combines elements of staged photography, painting, and new media. Drawing from classroom objects and local items from shooting locations, he challenges perceptions by juxtaposing unexpected elements, highlighting the complexity of identity and power relations.</p>

<p>Internationally renowned since 1998, Benohoud has showcased his works at premier venues including Paris&#39;s Centre Georges Pompidou and London&#39;s Hayward Gallery. His contributions to major art events and biennials are significant, with pieces housed in esteemed collections such as Tate Modern and Centre Pompidou. His achievements include the Prix Photo Service Prize in Arles and the Prix Visa pour la Cr&eacute;ation by Cultures France.</p>
